Acrylics with Washi paper on canvas
Large canvas: 36 x 48″sq

Note by the Artist

The 7th century was when making Washi paper was introduced to the people of Japan because of their plentiful and clean water as a way to sustainability, when farming times were difficult. This Blue and Black abstract offering was one of a few that I had painted to give the floating effect with the spotty hand printed paper in the front. The painting flows naturally over the sides of the gallery canvas and is coated with clear acrylic to protect from UVs.
